Ministries

Music Ministry

We are blessed with a few good volunteers who help accompany and lead our congregation in song in our parishes.  Their names are listed on the front page of our weekly bulletin.  We always welcome, and need, others to come forward and help enhance our Sunday Masses with a variety of music and hymns.  If you have musical talent and the desire to help, please call Father Kinzler or contact one of the individuals named in the bulletin.

Altar Society

St George, St Lawrence and St Olaf each have an active altar society.  All women are welcome! Gatherings are on occasion and announced in the bulletin when scheduled. In addition to serving lunches and dinners for parish events, funerals and weddings, the women of the respective parishes assist in raising funds for various parish and charitable concerns.

Parish Rosary

Each of our parishes has the custom of praying the Mysteries of the Rosary before our Sunday Masses, or the Divine Mercy Chaplet during special seasons.  Lay members are welcome to assist in this effort.  Contact Greg & Mary Lou Hazard at St George, 797-2610, or Jim & Mary Sears at St Lawrence, or Mike Kvislen at St Olaf, or Wally & Colleen Dalman at Sacred Heart.

Eucharistic Adoration

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

At St George in Cooperstown, our Divine Mercy Chapel located in the front of the church on the north side of the main sanctuary, is available whenever the church is open.  Our days for prayer before the exposed Eucharist are Tuesday and Wednesday.  Contact one of the persons listed on page four of our bulletin, or the section on Adoration on this website, to volunteer to commit to an hour on a regular basis.  We are in need of, and welcome, many additional persons to take on this blessed activity and fill our slate of hours, left open by members who have moved or passed away.
